Environmental approach:
produce better,
impact less

In Marnaz (Haute-Savoie), Décolletage ELBE is taking action to reduce its footprint through a structured environmental approach: chip sorting, oil recycling, energy efficiency, and responsible purchasing. Our system is monitored and continuously improved, with ISO 14001 certification planned.

Our environmental approach

Four simple, measurable commitments

At Décolletage ELBE, we reduce the footprint of every part by acting on energy, materials, waste, and logistics. Our goal: combine industrial performance with responsibility. This approach is formalized, tracked through KPIs, and prepares us for ISO 14001 (system in place, certification in progress).

Energy & emissions

With LED lighting, variable-speed drives on energy-intensive equipment, cycle-time optimization, and smart shut-off of inactive areas, we aim for a continuous reduction in kWh per part.

Compressors and utility units are monitored to limit leaks and recover heat where relevant.

Materials & suppliers

We prioritize recognized European suppliers, with material certificates and REACH/RoHS compliance.

With equivalent specifications, we select alloys and machinability profiles that minimize scrap and energy consumption—without compromising quality.

Waste & cutting oils

We sort chips by material (brass, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) and work with approved partners to ensure proper recovery and recycling. Neat oils and emulsions are recycled and managed under regulatory tracking (secure storage, collection traceability).

The result: less waste and more material reinjected into the circular economy.

Packaging & logistics

We reuse cartons and protective materials whenever possible, match packaging formats to the parts (less empty space, less weight), and optimize pick-ups to reduce empty miles.

On request, we can provide reusable packaging solutions.

ISO 14001
Where do we stand?

System in place, certification in preparation

We have deployed the required processes and records (action plan, reviews, procedures). The certification audit is being prepared; we will publish the result as soon as it is officially confirmed. In the meantime, our practices remain aligned with the standard’s requirements.
